Three trends to move your brand with cultural relevance
This week: Artificial Intelligence Trends
(1 min read)
What follow are the top three trends in the artificial intelligence category in terms of forecast growth in 6-months time (compared to average interest over the past 6 months) - as predicted by our proprietary AI model.
Trend Rank #1
Waluigi effect
The Waluigi Effect describes a phenomenon where large language models (LLMs) might "go rogue" and produce outputs opposite to their intended design, such as generating threatening or hostile responses.
Our AI predicts a +672% rise in consumer interest over the next six months.

Named after the Mario franchise character Waluigi, known for mischief, this effect highlights challenges in AI development, particularly around ensuring models behave as expected.
For brands, this underscores the importance of closely monitoring AI-driven interactions and content creation, ensuring they align with intended messaging and ethical standards, and adapting strategies as AI technology and its societal impact evolve.
Trend Rank #2
GigaChat
GigaChat, developed by Russia's Sberbank, is a ChatGPT rival focusing on the Russian language, indicating a trend towards national and linguistic diversification in AI chatbot services.
Our AI predicts a +538% rise in consumer interest over the next six months.

It's not surprising Russia are investing in their own LLM chatbot that is free from Western bias, but by being trained on Russian text and platforms, it’s also going to be more atuned to Russian culture.
For marketers, this is a nice reminder to be considering the underlying data your LLM might be trained on.
Is it truly equipped to generate creative that will resonate in the market you're catering to?
Trend Rank #3
Superalignment
Superalignment refers to ensuring AI technologies are closely aligned with human values and ethical standards.
Our AI predicts a +201% rise in consumer interest over the next six months.

By aligning AI systems with human values and goals, the practice of ‘superalignment’ minimizes the possibility of AI systems outcompeting or overpowering humanity.
It’s a pressing issue, rising in the minds of both everyday consumers and the AI community.
OpenAI themselves are offering $10M in grants to support technical research towards the alignment and safety of superhuman AI systems.
This trend is critical for brands as they navigate incorporating newly developed AI-driven products into their marketing and advertising, highlighting the importance of embedding ethical considerations into AI systems right from the outset.
